Our Goal is to produce quality POA's.  We simply fell in love with this colorful breed several years ago.  And our Breeding Operation is now up and going.  We stand two outstanding POA Stallions.

Take a look around and we hope you like what you see.

Our Farm is located about 1 hour South of Huntsville and 1 hour North of Birmingham.  Visitors are welcome anytime. Please see our photo gallery below.  We enjoy driving and riding our POA's.

A Little Bit About POA's:

The POA ranges in height from 46 to 56 inches at the withers.
They must exibit characteristics and an approved coat pattern
to be eligible for regsitration. They are just the right size for a
child.  POAs are used successfully for pleasure and trail riding,
driving, show competition, jumping, dressage, and gymkhana
events.  Many 4-H and United States Pony Club Members
choose POAs for their excellent disposition and all around
ability.  Many POA families have several generations involved
since at a POA sanctioned event there is something for
everyone.  Pictured Right-Donnie driving Copper Top.

Coat Patterns:

Blanket- One of the most common colorations.  Characterized by white over the loin and hips with dark, round, egg-      shaped spots.  These spots may vary in size.  Others show white over the hips without dark spots.  This variation is        known as snow-capped.
Roan- Ponies that have white hairs mixed in with the base coat color.  Can be red, blue, or marbelized. Roan POAs   o   often show varnish marks which are darker areas appearing most often on the legs, point of the hip, bridge of the   n  b  nose, and on the cheek bones.
Leopard- Carry spotting over the entire body.

Mottled Skin is another characteristic of the POA.  This is a speckled or blotchy pattern of pigmented and  non-             pigmented skin.  White Sclera is usually very visible on a POA.  This is the white area of the eye that encircles the iris  (colored part of the eye).  Striped hooves are also very common.

About the Walden's:

We have three grown children and an eleven year old daughter, 4 Grand-children, 2 dogs - Buddy and Lady, and A
LOT of horse friends (too many to list)....
We have been living and farming in rural Cullman County for many years.  Walden Way Farm was established in 1979     raising cattle and then later raising horses.  We love the size, color, and nature of the Pony of the America's. Breeding     and showing are now a large part of our Farming operation and family life.
We love camping, traveling, blue grass and gospel music.
Believing, following and acknowledging the Lord Jesus Christ in all things.
